Day 1

ARRIVAL SIEM REAP/ANGKOR WAT

Upon arrival Siem Reap international airport, welcome by English speaking guide who will take you to travel through the journey and  introduce you to the highlights of the Kingdom of Cambodia. Transfer to check in the hotel.

12:00am Have lunch in Seam Reap city after that depart to visit the most famous & magnificent Angkor Vat temple. This architectural masterpiece was constructed in the 12th century and covers an area of about 210 hectares with many galleries with columns, libraries, pavilions, courtyards and ponds full of water, carved low-reliefs about Ramayana Story and day-to-day life at the time of Angkor’s construction. Continue to visit Ta Prohm temple, this site was chosen to film the famous Hollywood movie Tomb Raider, which starred the famous actress  Angelina Jolie.

At the end of afternoon, stand at the Mountain Bakheng, admire the sunset on all the temples, with panoramic views over Angkor Vat. (following the weather).

Day 2

ANGKOR THOM

Breakfast at hotel, in the morning, depart to visit the “Great City” of Angkor Thom, visits include the famous Bayon Temple, Phimeanakas Temple within the Royal Palace enclosure, Baphuon Temple, the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King.

1:30pm After lunch we go to visit Artisans d’Angkor,  Angkor Handicraft center, the workshops of wood   and stone carving, polychrome lacquering , gilding, silver plating and silk painting, and then discover the fascinating boutique displaying a variety of arts and crafts made by artisans from the workshops using traditional cultural craftsmanship. Then you have 2 options for this afternoon :

+Take a visit to the enchanting Banteay Srei. It appears that the temple was designed to leave no space undecorated, and the fine carvings in pink sandstone are quite unique. The second visit will be to Banteay Samre, with elaborate architecture and exceptional carvings. 

+OR Enjoy the boat tour to the Chong Khneas floating village and the Great Tonle sap Lake, the largest fresh water lake in Southeast Asia, enjoy the boat cruise tour, and explore the life of the people living on the floating villages, the fresh water fish display center of a selection of temples. 

Day 3

EXPLORE ANGKOR

Breakfast at hotel, in the morning, depart to visit of a selection of temples, including the Royal City of  Preah Khan with impressive sculptures, Neak Pean built on a small circular island, Ta Som, East Mebon, Preah Rup.
Afternoon we will continue our visits by Thommanon temple , Ta keo , one of Angkor’s great mountains temple, Banteay Kdei, Srah Srang a Royal bathing place, Prasat Kravan with unique brick sculptures.

Day 4

SIEM REAP-PHNOM PENH

Morning, have breakfast, check out and depart to Phnom Penh (without guide).

On the road have stop at ”insect market” try eating many kinds of insect selling there and take a visit to the laterite bridge. This bridge was built from Angkor period – over 800 years ago.

1:00pm Check in hotel and start to explore the capital of Kingdom of Cambodia by yourself.

Day 5

PHNOM PENH

Morning have breakfast, start to explore the capital of Kingdom of Cambodia with following destinations:

National Museum also called Musee des Beaux-Arts. A French archaeologist and painter, Georges Groslier, designed it in Khmer style in 1917. The museum contains a collection of Khmer art, specially sculptures those are very skillful and beautiful.

Royal Palace which was built in 1866 and been the residence for many Cambodian Kings and Queens. Silver Pagoda is so named because of its floor, which is made up of  more than 5000 silver tiles. Each weights more than 1 kilograms. Solid-gold Buddha statue, which weighs 90kg and is adorned with 2086 diamonds, the largest weighing in at 25 carats.

Wat Phnom The city takes its name from the former name Wat Phnom Daun Penh(hill temple), which was built in 1373 to store five statues of Buddha on a manmade 27-meter high hill. These five statues were floating down the Mekong in a big tree and an old wealthy widow named Daun Penh (Grandma Penh) saved them and set them up on this hill for worshiping.

Independence Monument was built in 1958 for Cambodia’s independence from France in 1953. It stands in the center of the city. It is in the form of a lotus-shaped stupa, of the style seen at the great Khmer temple at Angkor Wat and other Khmer historical sites. 5:30pm Check in the hotel in Phnom Penh.

Day 6

PHNOM PENH -DEPARTURE

Breakfast at the hotel. Check out and depart to Phnom Penh international airport for your flight(without guide). End great journey.
